Guides Hub

Welcome to the Guides Hub for Guns and Dragons (also styled Guns & Dragons), the solo and online co-op roguelite FPS from ABUTTON Inc. Set in a magitech fantasy world, the game sends one to three players into caverns, dungeons, and overrun villages with revolvers, shotguns, snipers, longbows, crossbows, and arcane-infused gear. Between runs you expand an offshore camp base, slot runes, collect artifacts, and unlock skills that reshape every attempt. This hub collects every guide you need during the active Steam playtest and before the full Steam and Epic Games Store launch.

Where to begin

If you have never followed the project, start with Getting Started. That page explains what Guns and Dragons is, who is making it, supported platforms, the July 30–August 10, 2026 Steam playtest window, and how the run-based loop connects combat to meta-progression. From there, How to Play walks through a typical run: choosing a weapon family, clearing encounters, interacting with altar rewards, extracting resources, and returning to camp.

Players who want hands-on access before release should read Playtest Guide. As of early August 2026 the test is still live through August 10—Request Access on Steam app 4687860 while the window remains open. The page covers system requirements, ChinaJoy 2026 recap, and what feedback ABUTTON is likely looking for during the first public test.

Multiplayer and input

Guns and Dragons supports 1–3 players in online co-op alongside full solo runs. Steam lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer, so squadmates on different PC setups can still party up when the feature is enabled in-client. The Co-op Guide explains squad composition, shared resource pressure, revive expectations, and how build synergy differs when you are not carrying every role alone. For keyboard, mouse, and controller setup—including full DualShock and DualSense support listed on Steam—see Controls. That page also covers Steam accessibility options such as adjustable text size, camera comfort, custom volume controls, adjustable difficulty, and playable-without-timed-input settings.

World, bosses, and survival tips

Runs traverse distinct biomes with different sightlines, elite density, and loot cadence. The Map and Biomes Guide summarizes how cavern, dungeon, and village-style spaces change routing and resource pressure. Formidable bosses gate deeper progression and often force build checks—see Bosses Guide for encounter pacing and co-op callouts. If you are new to roguelite shooters, Beginner Tips collects low-friction habits for the remaining playtest days: extract discipline, altar stacking, and first-session weapon picks.

Meta-progression and repeat runs

Roguelite success in Guns and Dragons depends as much on camp decisions as on aim. The Camp and Base Guide breaks down offshore base expansion, gear infused with arcane technology, rune and artifact planning, and how altar rewards feed your next loadout. Camp is also home to a magical companion—a persistent ally tied to between-run progression; read Magical Companion for how that system complements base upgrades. ABUTTON built the game on Unreal Engine with Azure PlayFab backend services, so online sessions and progression are designed for repeatable co-op sessions rather than one-off arcade scores.

Staying current

Guns and Dragons remains Coming soon on Steam and Epic with a TBA full release date. The ChinaJoy 2026 showcase ran July 31 through August 3 alongside the opening weekend of the Steam playtest—the floor event concluded August 3, while the online playtest continues until August 10. Official updates ship through the Steam store page, the studio’s social channels, and the community Discord at discord.gg/ubyEsuCSky. When mechanics change between playtest patches, these guides will be revised to match verified patch notes—never speculative codes or unconfirmed leaks.
