Guns and Dragons System Requirements
Official Steam specs, comparison tables, and a playtest-ready PC checklist.
Use this page to compare your PC against ABUTTON Inc.’s published Steam requirements for Guns and Dragons (app ID 4687860) before you request playtest access or invite friends to co-op. Values below match the store listing as of the July 2026 reveal window. If ABUTTON updates specs, confirm on the Steam store page and watch Updates Hub for wiki revisions.
Guns and Dragons uses Unreal Engine with DirectX 12 and requires a broadband internet connection for online co-op. There is no macOS or Linux listing at preview time. Steam Deck support is marked coming soon, not verified playable.

Minimum requirements (official Steam)
| Component | Specification |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT |
| DirectX | Version 12 |
| Network | Broadband Internet connection |
| Storage | 10 GB available space |
Minimum specs target 1080p at low settings in typical Unreal indie titles. Playtest builds may run worse until optimization passes land—budget extra headroom if your GPU is exactly at the GTX 1060 floor.
Recommended requirements (official Steam)
| Component | Specification |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit |
| Processor | Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 |
| Memory | 12 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 |
| DirectX | Version 12 |
| Network | Broadband Internet connection |
| Storage | 10 GB available space |
Recommended hardware suits higher fidelity effects, denser hordes, and co-op sessions where three players spike CPU and network load. RTX 2080 class GPUs also provide more room for future ray-tracing or upscaling features if ABUTTON enables them later—none are promised in current store text.
Minimum vs recommended comparison
| Component | Minimum | Recommended | Practical note |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | i5-4690 / R5 1500X | i7-11700 / R5 5600 | Co-op AI and physics scale with core count; older quad-cores may hitch in busy fights |
| RAM | 8 GB | 12 GB | Close background apps; 16 GB is comfortable for Discord + game |
| GPU | GTX 1060 6 GB / RX 6500 XT | RTX 2080 / RX 6700 | VRAM matters for texture streaming in Unreal; 6 GB is tight at high settings |
| Storage | 10 GB | 10 GB | SSD strongly advised for shader cache and faster restarts between roguelite runs |
| OS | Win10 64-bit | Win10 64-bit | Windows 11 generally works; stay on latest cumulative updates |
| Network | Broadband | Broadband | Wired connection recommended for 1–3 player online co-op |
Can my PC run the playtest? (decision guide)
Green light: CPU and GPU meet or exceed recommended specs, 16 GB RAM, SSD with 15 GB free, wired Ethernet. Expect medium–high settings after tuning.
Yellow light: Meets minimum with 8 GB RAM and GTX 1060 / RX 6500 XT. Play at 1080p low, disable optional effects, avoid streaming while in trio co-op.
Red light: GPU below minimum, 8 GB RAM with heavy browser use, or Wi-Fi with packet loss. Upgrade or wait—unfair stutter can skew your opinion of ABUTTON’s combat feel.
Unknown: Steam Deck and handheld PCs until Valve verification completes. Treat as experimental.

Playtest PC setup checklist
Work through this list once before your first download and again after major Windows or GPU driver updates.
Operating system and drivers
- Windows 10 64-bit (or Windows 11) fully updated
- Latest NVIDIA Game Ready or AMD Adrenalin driver installed
- DirectX 12 runtime present (usually via Windows Update)
- Visual C++ redistributables installed (Steam often prompts on first launch)
Hardware and storage
- GPU meets or exceeds GTX 1060 6 GB / RX 6500 XT
- At least 8 GB RAM free at launch (12 GB+ system RAM recommended)
- 10 GB+ free on SSD preferred
- Monitor set to native 1080p unless GPU headroom allows 1440p
Network and co-op
- Broadband connection stable; ping under 100 ms to friends if possible
- Wired Ethernet tested for co-op night
- Router UPnP or port settings noted if NAT strict warnings appear
- Voice chat app chosen (Discord is linked from Wiki Links)
Steam client
- Playtest access granted via Request Access on Steam app 4687860
- Wishlist main game for update notifications
- Download region set sensibly if install is slow
- Shader compile patience—first Unreal launch can take several minutes
In-game first session
- Start solo to establish baseline FPS before trio co-op
- Lower shadow and effects if minimum-spec stutter appears
- Read Controls for default keybinds
- Note resolution and preset when reporting bugs to ABUTTON
Upgrade tips if you sit below minimum
GPU upgrades deliver the largest FPS gains for Unreal shooters. A used RTX 3060 or RX 6600 often clears minimum with headroom.
RAM upgrades to 16 GB cost less than a GPU and help Discord, browsers, and the game coexist—especially on 8 GB minimum configs.
SSD migration if the game installs on a 5400 RPM HDD. Load times between roguelite runs drop sharply.
CPU upgrades matter most for minimum-tier quad-cores hosting co-op. Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel i5-12400F pairs well with midrange GPUs.
We do not recommend buying new hardware solely for a limited playtest unless you already planned upgrades—wishlist the game and revisit specs closer to launch.
Platform notes
Steam and Epic: Requirements published on Steam at preview time; Epic Games Store lists the same title coming soon—expect parity but verify Epic’s page at download if you use that launcher later.
Steam Deck: Store copy says coming soon. Handheld play may require Proton tweaks and reduced settings until official verification.
Languages: Interface supports English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese per Steam; full audio is English only. Language choice does not change hardware needs.
Azure PlayFab: Steam mentions PlayFab for online services; stable DNS and no aggressive VPN routing help session matchmaking during playtests.
