Guns and Dragons Updates

Playtest schedules, event appearances, and how to follow ABUTTON announcements.

Updates Hub

Guns and Dragons is in active development at ABUTTON Inc., with a Coming soon listing on Steam and the Epic Games Store and no public 1.0 release date. During the July 2026 reveal window, news arrives through store page updates, press releases, convention demos, and community channels—not a single in-game patch notes feed yet. This Updates Hub collects what we know, links to deeper pages, and explains where to look next so you do not miss playtest access or schedule changes.

Current status snapshot

As of early August 2026, Guns and Dragons is best classified as pre-release playtest still in progress, not early access. The Steam window runs July 30 through August 10, 2026 and remains live on August 3 even though the ChinaJoy floor showcase concluded August 3. Players join by requesting access on the Steam app page (ID 4687860) and waiting for invitation waves. Epic Games Store lists the title as coming soon as well, but the documented playtest flow is Steam-first.

Steam also lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing for the retail product—features to expect at launch even if some are partially implemented during the test. For wishlist strategy after the window closes, read Release Wishlist.

For a chronological breakdown of the playtest and event overlap, read Playtest News.

What counts as official news

We treat these sources as authoritative for Guns and Dragons updates:

Steam store page. Release status, system requirements, language support, playtest banners, and Request Access buttons change here first. Wishlist the game if you want Steam client notifications when major milestones hit.

Epic Games Store listing. Confirms cross-store intent and provides a second wishlist path for players who prefer Epic’s launcher.

ABUTTON press releases and interviews. Outlets such as Gematsu and GamesBeat documented the July 28, 2026 trailer drop and playtest dates with quoted statements from Game Director Park Jun-woo—useful when verifying rumors.

Official Discord. The community server at discord.gg/ubyEsuCSky is linked from wiki Links and typically hosts playtest discussion, bug reports, and staff announcements during tests.

Social accounts. The Steam page references @GunsAndDragons on X/Twitter for marketing beats.

This fan wiki mirrors those sources; we are not affiliated with ABUTTON. Always confirm critical dates on Steam before planning time off for co-op sessions.

Playtest windows and access rules

Playtests can end early, extend, or repeat in new waves. We document known windows in Playtest News and cross-link Join the Playtest for step-by-step Request Access instructions. If ABUTTON publishes NDAs or regional restrictions, those notes belong in the same thread.

Convention and expo appearances

ChinaJoy 2026 offered hands-on floor demos in Shanghai through August 3, 2026. The showcase ran alongside the opening days of the Steam playtest but has since concluded; online play continues until August 10. Director Park Jun-woo told press the studio would next bring the game to Gamescom for European outreach—a future milestone to watch.

Store and platform news

Watch for Steam Deck compatibility moving from coming soon to verified—see Steam Deck Guide for current status—Epic launch parity, and pricing announcements beyond free playtest access.

Content and feature reveals

Trailer beats introduced runes, artifacts, skills, camp upgrades, and 46+ weapons. Future updates may reveal new biomes, bosses, or progression systems. We tie mechanic deep dives to Guides and Builds rather than duplicating patch notes here.

How this hub connects to reviews and tools

Updates answer when and where; other hubs answer how and should I play.

When a Steam patch adjusts balance or fixes crashes, we summarize player-facing impact here and link to relevant build or weapon pages if metas shift.

What we do not report as confirmed

Fan-made roadmap leaks, unverified Epic exclusivity rumors, and invented release dates are excluded. If a datamined string contradicts Steam, we note the conflict and wait for official confirmation.

We also avoid treating influencer preview clips as patch notes unless ABUTTON reposts them through official channels.

Staying notified between visits

Wishlist on Steam and Epic for store emails. Join Discord for same-day playtest chatter. Follow @GunsAndDragons for trailer and event posts. Bookmark this Updates Hub, Playtest News, and Release Wishlist while the August 10 deadline approaches.

When the game approaches full launch, this hub will expand with version numbers, major content seasons, and cross-platform notes. Until then, the highest-value update is simple: the first public playtest is still live on Steam through August 10—request access, verify your PC, and read Playtest News for the full calendar.
